Community Sailing Foundation of Paw Paw Lake
The Paw Paw Lake Yacht Club ("PPLYC") has a long history of supporting and promoting sailing education.
In 2000, Club members donated boats and started a sailing school, which grew over the years to graduate many new sailors. As the popularity grew for sailing education, Club members created the Community Sailing Foundation at Paw Paw Lake in 2017 to engage more youth and enthusiasts in sailing education.
As a 501(c)3 organization, the Community Sailing Foundation at Paw Paw Lake's mission is to advance the expansion of sailing and water-based activities in the Paw Paw Lake area of Southwest Michigan through education for all ages. The Paw Paw Lake Yacht Club proudly hosts the annual classes of the Sailing Foundation.
The Sailing Foundation focuses on providing educational programs, sailing lessons, and community events to engage people of all ages in sailing. The foundation aims to foster a love for sailing, enhance skills, and encourage safe practices on the water.
Programs include youth sailing camps, adult sailing classes, and community outreach initiatives to introduce more people to the sport. The Sailing Foundation often collaborates with local schools, community groups, and sailing enthusiasts to create a vibrant sailing community on Paw Paw Lake.
